Bioinformatics: A challenging career & offered courses

After 10+2 exams, the biggest question is what to do next? If you are a science lover and want to do something different in this field, then you can opt for Bioinformatics. Bioinformatics is a subject combination of Statistics and Computer sciences, applying on molecular biology. It was introduced in 1980s’. As we know DNA sequencing has been the biggest project of recent years in Bio-sciences. Bioinformatics, a field which mingle the biosciences and software technologies together, brought a huge change in genomics world. DNA analysis, mapping and alignment are the keywords through which it could be possible to sequence the entire genome of many organisms. Bioinformatics has been the greatest motivation in the advancement of drug development and research.
Bioinformatics is a branch of computing which is concerned with the acquisition, storage and analysis of biological data. So many tools are needed to design the products faster with accuracy. IT tools have become important for managing and screening these data. In this career one can explore research capabilities and applicability of biological applications. This is a field which gives you independence. Where you can do research and work online.

Future of bioinformatics:

In India, as the IT industry is raising, there are many opportunities of jobs in this career. Our Drugs and Research companies are hunting for experts in this area. A graduate with good skills in computer science and software engineering along some biological aspects can be a good Bioinformatician.

Bioinformatics is a growing industry, nationally and internationally, that’s why many IT and medical research companies are investing their money in this field with a number of jobs growing further. IPOs and KPOs are showing its market acceptance. This industry is very hot, very dynamic, and very exciting, expecting thousands of jobs in coming years. The job options for the experts of this area covers IT industry, Pharmaceuticals, Research & Development etc.
It has grown as a multidisciplinary area; from cellular biology to biotechnology and cloning, it has covered all the branches of life-sciences. It is becoming more computationally intense as presenting all of the genomes in electronic databases. It is spreading its web, influencing many industries and welcomes the newcomers of Science and Software fields to explore the fun and infinity of genomic world.

Universities providing courses in Bioinformatics:

Nowadays many universities in India are providing diploma, graduate and post-graduate courses in Bioinformatics. These are on regular basis as well as through correspondence. In correspondence courses the most attractive point is your freedom, as they provide better time utilization. One can improve his/her skills and capabilities along their work experience.

Generation of Random amino acid protein sequences using Python/Bio-python

This program is about how to generate protein sequences (random sequences of 100amino acid) and these sequences should be stored in a database type file. The sequence analysis gave the bioscience researches a new direction. This project works for generating new sequences of proteins. These sequences might already exist in nature and having similarity with any organism. Through this software new random sequences may be generated and saved to a file on user’s machine. Saving to file helps to compare different sequences as well as the complete information may be placed at the same place. The Protein generation part is a simple program which takes in user input for number of random Protein Sequences to generate and filename/file-path. Based on these user inputs random Protein sequences are generate of 100 amino acid residues of type IUPACProtein. The sequences thus generated are saved to a file in the current directory by the name username.fasta in Fasta format. This program is in Python L

Green tea benefits

Green tea is a form of the leaves from the same tea plant, Camellia sinensis . It is less oxidised than black tea, but more than  white . The Green tea benefits have been proved remarkably promising in cancer and heart diseases. Presence of strong antioxidants makes it unique, theses anti-oxidants forage free radicals of our cells to wipe them out. Green tea benefits include the presence of  healthy  polyphenols and the most prominent poly-phenol is epigallocatechin gallate. Some main benefits of green tea are noticed in the case of Rheumatoid arthritis, High cholesterol levels, cardiovascular disease and in the improvement of the immune system. For weight loss and fat  burn  green tea is the best source of fitness.  Must add this nature's gift to your routine. Other varieties of Chinese teas are Bancha, Kabusecha, Gyokuro, Matcha and Tencha etc.

Eczema flare-ups-- Still a big question

What Causes Eczema? Generally eczema develops after frequent exposure to a mild irritant like a detergent or a concise exposure to a burly irritant such as acid etc. On the other side, allergic contact eczema builds up when an allergen comes in the contact with skin, like poison ivy and nickel. The exact reason behind its growth is still standing like a big question. Researchers believe that atopic eczema might be a result of blending various factors; these factors include heredity of certain genes, an overactive immune system, or "gaps in the skin". These gaps let the skin lose water too fast and also allow germs to enter the body. Generally Eczema bursts in cold and dry weather. Seborrheic is the other form of eczema that seems to develop when a number of factors interact which may include the person's genes; climate, fungus that live on human skin, stress, and general health. Present forms of Eczema: Atopic Eczema is a chronic skin condition that causes itchy, d
